UP Governor Anandiben Patel launches IAS Dr. Dinesh Chandra Singh’s new book ‘Karm Kumbh’ on Mahakumbh 2025

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel on Monday released a new book titled ‘Karm Kumbh’, authored by Dr. Dinesh Chandra Singh, District Magistrate of Jaunpur and senior IAS officer, at the seminar hall of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur.

The book, centered around Mahakumbh 2025, highlights the administrative foresight, cultural depth, and human sensitivity associated with one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings. It reflects the author’s dedication to public service and his multidimensional perspective on governance and tradition.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh said the successful execution of Mahakumbh 2025 owes much to the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A day before the launch, he had presented a copy of Karm Kumbh to the Chief Minister and received his blessings and inspiring guidance.

The event was graced by Minister for Higher Education Yogendra Upadhyay, Minister of State for Education Dr. Rajni Tiwari, Reliance Chairman Sunil Dutt, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Vandana Singh, District Magistrate and Chief Development Officer of Ghazipur, and Jaunpur CDO Dhruv Khadiya, among others.

Speakers noted that initiating a sacred endeavour on the auspicious day of Sharad Purnima brings divine energy and radiance—qualities reflected in the essence of Karm Kumbh. In the Sanatan tradition, this day holds special spiritual significance.

Edited by senior Delhi-NCR journalist and political analyst Kamlesh Pandey, Karm Kumbh has been widely appreciated for its cultural insight and administrative depth.

Notably, Dr. Dinesh Chandra Singh has earlier authored acclaimed works such as Kaal Prerna, based on memories from the pandemic, and Karm Nirnay, a compilation of administrative reflections—both of which were released by former Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
