Block Education Officer Anurag Mishra Honoured for Excellence in Sampurnata Abhiyan, District Earns Top Marks in NITI Aayog Indicators



In a proud moment for the Basic Education Department and Bahraich district, Block Education Officer (BEO) Chittaura, Anurag Mishra, was honoured with a certificate of excellence by District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi and Chief Development Officer Mukesh Chandra. The honour recognises Mr. Mishra’s outstanding contribution in the Sampurnata Abhiyan, a focused campaign launched under the leadership of former District Magistrate Monica Rani, aimed at holistic educational development and timely service delivery in primary education.


The felicitation ceremony was held in the newly inaugurated Multi-Purpose Skill Development Auditorium ‘Utthan’ in Kapurthala, attended by several prominent dignitaries including former MP Akshaybar Lal Gond, Superintendent of Police Ram Nayan Singh, MLC Pragya Tripathi, Sadar MLA Anupama Jaiswal, Mahsi MLA Sureshvar Singh, and other senior officials and department heads.


Achieving Milestones in Education


During the event, Chief Development Officer Mukesh Chandra highlighted the goals of the Sampurnata Abhiyan, which was conducted between July and September 2024, aiming to streamline key services like textbook distribution, infrastructure upgrades, and student retention in government schools. He said that timely recognition of officers who contribute sincerely to such initiatives sets a motivating example for others.



BEO Anurag Mishra, expressing gratitude for the recognition, said the success was the collective outcome of dedicated efforts by teachers, staff, and education department personnel. He proudly mentioned that Bahraich district achieved full scores in 5 out of 6 performance indicators set by the NITI Aayog, a remarkable milestone that reflects the district's commitment to quality education.


Among the key achievements under his leadership:


* 100% textbook distribution was completed by 1st April, the very first day of the academic session.

* Emphasis on sanitation: All schools were ensured functional toilets and hygienic infrastructure.

* Full student retention: Special drives ensured 100% enrollment and continuation of students transitioning from primary to upper primary levels.

* Community engagement and teacher motivation: Regular monitoring and coordination led to better implementation of initiatives on the ground.


'This is not my honour alone'


Speaking at the event, Mr. Mishra humbly credited the recognition to the collective hard work of teachers, field-level officers, and support staff, calling them the true architects of change. “Appreciation of good work brings energy and inspiration to do even better. This honour is dedicated to every teacher who worked tirelessly for the children of our block,” he said.
