The IIMC is a premier institution in India dedicated to training professionals in the field of mass communication. Established in 1965, IIMC is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. With several campuses across India, IIMC boasts a distinguished alumni network comprising prominent journalists, media professionals, filmmakers, and communication experts who have made significant contributions to their respective fields both nationally and internationally.
The IIMC Alumni Association aims to serve as the vital bridge between IIMC's past and present, fostering a dynamic connection. It provides a platform for alumni to share their expertise, knowledge, and experiences while facilitating meaningful engagement with the institute and fellow alumni. Former students, who may have felt detached, now have the opportunity to maintain a significant association with their alma mater, stay updated on institute developments, and reconnect with their peers.
IIMCAA is open to all alumni of IIMC, regardless of their field of study or graduation year. The association is governed by a board of directors that is elected by the members. The board works to organise events, activities, and programs that are relevant and beneficial to the members.
