Kush Gupta Conferred MR Award by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Mr. Kush Gupta, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony, Sasni Gate, Aligarh, has emerged as a shining example of academic excellence and professional dedication in the field of engineering. Mr. Gupta’s father, Mr. Balkrishna Gupta, is a retired Executive Engineer, while his mother, Mrs. Shashi Gupta, is a skilled homemaker who has played a vital role in shaping his values and discipline. Mr. Kush Gupta completed his undergraduate technical education with a B.Tech degree from Aligarh Muslim University and later earned his M.Tech degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Through his exceptional talent, perseverance, and disciplined approach, Mr. Kush Gupta secured the All India 5th Rank in the highly competitive Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination, marking a significant personal milestone and bringing pride to his family, institution, and hometown.

His success coincides with a period of major technological advancements in Indian Railways, particularly the development and successful high-speed trials of the indigenous Kavach anti-train collision system. Recently, Kavach was tested successfully at speeds of 160 kmph, demonstrating its robust braking efficiency and reliability.

The Kavach system, which has undergone multiple successful trials under stringent conditions, represents a major leap forward in railway safety and aligns with India’s vision of self-reliance in critical infrastructure technologies.

The inspection of Kavach trials on routes such as the Vande Bharat Vrindavan–Palwal section further underlines the system’s readiness for wider implementation.
